Or was this a standard coplement for VDV Airbourne companies? I read It consited of two platoons and a weapons section. So depending on the size of the Company HQ and weapons section, less than 15 men in a platoon?

3:45 Just my personal interpretation, but the sunglasses warrior seems a like us army green beret who was sent to Afghanistan to train and advise the Mujahudeen. Instead he went native (actively fighting with the Afghans against the Russians). There where a few operators back then who actually did that during the Soviet-Afghan war and during the Coalition occupation of Afghanistan.
